TWO-COMPONENT SOLVENT-BASED ACRYLIC POLYURETHANE SEALER – ZENSEALANT DSV

ZenSealant DSV is a two-component (A+B) solvent-based acrylic polyurethane sealer. This is a high-performance protective coating, ideal for protecting both interior and exterior surfaces finished with microcement.

The product possesses superior resistance properties. The coating maintains an optimal condition against abrasion, water impact, ultraviolet (UV) rays, and scratches, as well as common household cleaning agents.

As a two-component coating, ZenSealant DSV has the ability to highlight and enhance the tone of the microcement surface, making the colors sharper and deeper.

APPLICATION METHOD FOR ZENSEALANT DSV

Surface Preparation: Before applying the ZenSealant DSV coating, it is mandatory to ensure the substrate is completely dry and free of dust. Before applying the polyurethane layer over microcement, allow the surface to rest for 24 to 48 hours, depending on climatic conditions and the ventilation of the workspace.

First Coat Application: Once everything is ready, apply the mixture using a short-nap velour roller or a spray gun. Ensure the ambient temperature during application is between 10°C and 30°C.

Sanding and Second Coat:

  • After the first coat, use 400-grit sandpaper to lightly sand the surface.

  • After sanding, wait a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 2 days to apply the second coat.

Note for Old Surfaces: If applying to an existing surface, ensure all traces of grease, oil, dust, etc., are completely removed.

Adhesion Test: Finally, as a precautionary measure, test the product’s adhesion on a small corner of the surface. Only proceed to seal the entire area once you have verified effective adhesion.

MAINTENANCE OF THE FINISHED COATING

  • Stabilization Time: Allow the Polyurethane coating to cure and dry completely for at least one week before exposing the surface to water.
  • Chemical Restrictions: Absolutely do not use any cleaning agents for at least the first two weeks after application.
  • Proper Cleaning: Use the specialized cleaner “ZenCleaner,” or if unavailable, use water and a neutral soap to extend the lifespan of the Polyurethane layer.
  • Warning Regarding Harmful Products: Bleach (javel water), acetone, and hydrochloric acid (salfumán) are highly aggressive substances that can damage the microcement coating.
